Qualifying as a CBT therapist is a significant achievement, but many practitioners find that the transition into independent practice brings new challenges.
Without the structure of training, it can take time to develop confidence in clinical decision-making, adapt protocols to individual client needs, and navigate more complex presentations.
Supervision can provide a valuable space to consolidate learning, strengthen formulation skills, and explore how to work flexibly whilst remaining grounded in evidence-based practice.
I particularly enjoy supporting therapists as they move from "following the model" to developing confidence in their own clinical judgement and therapeutic style.
