CBT Trainees

CBT Trainees

CBT training can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel demanding and overwhelming at times. Balancing coursework, clinical practice, competency requirements, recordings, and personal commitments can bring significant pressure.

Having supported High Intensity CBT trainees on both full-time and part-time courses, within NHS services and private settings, I understand the challenges that training can present.

Alongside supporting the development of core CBT competencies, I aim to provide a reflective and encouraging environment where trainees can build confidence, manage the demands of training, and develop their own therapeutic style.

I can provide:

  • Case discussion and formulation support
  • Video and audio review using the CTS-R and other competency frameworks
  • Skills development and competency feedback
  • Support with course requirements and reports
  • Guidance around balancing training demands and clinical work
  • Reflective space to explore professional development and confidence

Having worked alongside trainees from a range of training institutions, I have a strong understanding of course expectations and competency standards.
