Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

With experience in providing supervision in both NHS and private settings to High Intensity trainee therapists; those who have recently become qualified and those who have been in practice a number of years, I can provide a supportive environment to explore both clinical and interpersonal aspects of client work.

CBT Trainees

I have supported High Intensity CBT trainees on both full and part time courses, privately and within the NHS for a number of years now. With a real understanding of what the course entails, I feel I can provide not only an understanding of the competencies required to complete the training, but can also provide guidance and support around course demands and the transitions this can often bring about.

Having worked alongside trainees studying under a variety of institutions I have an awareness of what is required to meet course demands, and can provide space for case discussion, video review using the CTS-R or other competency rating scales, and provide reports.

Newly qualified practitioners

You've completed the course and feel that initial wave of relief - before the next reality hits- how does this work in real life! (or that's how it was for me at least). Being newly qualified can be an exciting and daunting time. Let me help you through this transition and add flexibility to your working practices, whilst minimising clinical drift. I can help consolidate skills and explore clinical rational for integrating different approaches or protocols to really meet the needs of your client group.

Experienced practitioners

As someone with a range of modalities including CBT, CFT, IPT and EMDR I feel I can bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to case discussion by putting your client at the centre of their own care. Whilst being able to maintain a fidelity to the evidence base; I have a real appreciation for the times when models don't quite meet client need and show an adaptable, flexible approach.

My main passions lie within interpersonal aspects of therapy. I can offer a space where clinical considerations are met, but also a place where we can explore a deeper level of understanding about the client, the self and the therapeutic relationship.

New to private practice?

As a clinician who has worked within both NHS and private practice, I can provide support in guiding you to establish your own private practice and navigating training opportunities, allowing you to navigate the transition from training or NHS settings and what may be involved.
